Please do this.........

If you read this could you please just quickly reply, it'd help me heaps. It's for Biology, and I know, everyone probably did this in school about a thousand times, but we need to test like a shit load of people this time.

All i need to know is if your earlobes are adherent or pendulous, ie. are the bottoms of your earlobes attached or separated from the side of your head. Thanking you in anticipation of a reply

I went up north..

I have just come back from a holiday to the Northern Territory of Australia. For you foreigners thats the middle top part of Australia. It was really good, and a most enjoyable two weeks. (Thanks Forkerts!)

I learn't a whole lot during the holiday, I'd been there ages ago when I was about ten, but it was interesting to go again. I don't know much about it really but the problem of alcoholism in some of the aboriginal communities there is huge and a solution doesn't seem to be evident. It's really sad to see. I went up there with the people next door, they're really good friends, two weeks with the same people and you learn a lot about not only them but heaps about yourself. That was quite awesome I thought.

I also had a lot of time to think- 3000km there, 3000 km back, that was good. OH OH and all the foreign tourists, that was awesome to ssee so many, especially with all the accents, and those funny vans the buy and paint, tsk tsk.

I feel I have grown over the last two weeks as a person, than again, it's probably all bullshit and I just felt like I needed to write something cause I am bored now I'm at home again!! Then again............

An increase in dickhead population??

Are there more dickheads in this world now compared to say five years ago or is it just me. I've noticed that of late, the proportion of decent folk to true wankers has become somewhat of a considerable concern.

I Like- Do You

I've not done one of these for ages but I have reasons, they're not good though.

Anyway, you know how there are little things in life that happen quite regulaly that you like, well I know what i mean. What are some of lifes little pleasure you like??

The feeling of a new toothbrush

The whole thing when you get into your bed after all the sheets have been changed

Scratching a pin across your stomach

Stretching after you've been sitting for ages

The smeel of garlic, butter and onion cooking like at the start of a lot of recipies

The feeling of a fold in the sheets between your toes

When I let someone into my lane in front of me when it's relativly busy, though I don't do this as often as I should

Stars

Hmmmmmm, I'm running out of them at the momment, I'll add some more later. Right now I'm going to do anotherr thing I like- Sleep.

Procrastination

I'm doing this update really because I'm procrastinating, I should be doing some biology critique crap but it's on female mate-choice copying in guppies, ie. very uninspiring. So instead I'm here writing this, I'm listening to Incubus, I dont know what it's called, this track, but it's the SCIENCE albumn and it's track ten, it'ss a good song.

So hmmmmm, it's rainging a bit outside, just spitting though, but it's all overcast but still warm, (I'm in shorts and shirt) I like this sort of weather, for some reason it reminds me of holidays. I'm drinking coffe as well, I like coffee alot, not the instant stuff, that's not all that great but, proper coffee. But I can nnever sleep if I have a couple in the evening, I'm sure it's all physcological cause I have some recolection from last year in chem., that caffeine only stays in your system for a few hours.

OOoooooohhh track 11 is odd but still pretty good.

Anyway, I hope all you'se are having fun, I'm going to go and finish this damm critique now (what have guppies got to do with medical science??)

I tried to put a picture here as well but fro some reason, it failed to work. Doesn't really matter though 'cause it had nothinig to do with the update.

Airport over war-graves???

I was interested on peopless opinions on a current issue. Some may have heard about it, the french were planning to build an international airport extension over war-graves in the Somme area in France. In Australia, it has become quite an issue as amongst these unknown graves are many Australin soldiers.

Personaly, I have a bit of an interest regarding this as last year I went to the area to visit such cemetries as the ones in question. I suppose there are a lot of view points on the issue as usually is the case, but one must look at it and think about what they are doing. I for one can not think of a more insulting thing to do to the families of the war-dead, and I only hope that if not already, they have seen the error in their ways and have decided against it.

I was just wondering if there werew any other views on the topic, and would gladly hear them.

My theory for World Peace

I have a theory for world peace, what we need is a common enemy. Think about it for a minute. There is conflict all over the world, bickering over issues that at times can seem so trivial, yet the war continues. Now, if the world was at threat by, an example, aliens (Tsk Tsk) we would have to band together as a planet, everyone working together against this common threat to everyone. It would force these little conflicts over frivial international concerns to be put aside and we would be working side by side, united to defeat the threat to life.

I got this idea after watching Idependance Day a while back. It works at a lower level as well, take a footy team for example, now, there are quite a few people who are in my footy team whom I have...........differences with, (ie, theyre dickheads) but when you go out on the field, it all changes, you stick up for these people for some reason, you band together and I believe the same principle would apply on a global scale.

So, what should we do, I don't know, invite evil aliens to attack us, perhaps make a world wide conspiricy that we are under threat of being exterminated. Whatever happens, Ithink the moral of this is that, we need a common enemy to create world peace.

Uni, A Tale of Suspense and Intrigue

'Twas my first day at uni today also. I joined the literally hundreds flocking and then wandering around trying to look like they know where they are going, I didn't!

I thought I was going to the first Physics lecture, BUT(don't use eavesdropping as a source of information)somehow found my self in a ecotourism lecture, aahhhh, soooo, embarrassingly, I got up and left much to the delight of my fellow uni-ites. After wandering around some more (looking as though I knew where I was going ofcourse) I found the place and joined the hundreds of others hearing about physics crap.

I found out Jace was in my physics class- so I have another year of mindless distractions affecting my education- but it's fun.

Then I went down to some medical science ccrap and found out that looks like fun, then I wasted the rest of the day, doing I have no idea what, but soaking up the uniness. Uni is odd, We have so many expectations, how can they all be fulfilled? I wonder at the momment, the potential is there, perhaps it's being bloody stupid expecting one day at the joint to flash the pre-concived notions of the place at us.

Overall, I like uni so far, then again, I have time to write this tonight and go for a run.

AND I bought, Clumsy, from uni-records.

Public V's Private

I'm yet to determine the purpose of this update, but I'm sure it will evolve into something. Did everyone see how Australia won there first gold medal at an olympic games, WE ROCK. I know it's heaps sad for all the other compeditors but we have to revel in our one piece of glory, so we'll claim it.

I also thought of another thing I want to grizzle about, I don't know what it's liike elswhere, but here, our government continues to fund private schools at the expense of the public system. Does this seem utterly stupid to anyone else or have I missed something here. Who cares if it's encouraging people to opt out the public system and save the government money, education should be free. It really s***s me off, I just finished at a public school, we got better results than a private school down the road but who did the local paper decide to write about. I mean, I'm pretty sure this is right, but don't quote me on it, Our Prime Minister sends/sent his kids to a private school, what does it say when the bloke running the show doesn't have enough faith in the system to send his kids there. Anyway, my state just got a new premier who does send his kids to a private school, good on ya' mate.

But it wasn't all a loss, I tried sushi, I'm glad I now know from experience that it tastes like shit. And we also saw that Jay and Silent Bob film, it is very stupid but a bit funny.

Accents- Who's is the Best?

Tosswinkle the pirate said he'd return so here I am. I want to talk about accents around the world, the intrigue me. The same language yet it's so different. I'd like to bring forth the issue of who's is the best accent, nation wise. Now obviously I don't know every accent on the earth (or beyond but that's beyond the realm of what I want to disscuss) So anyway, what I'm about to say may offend some people or nationalities, but I assure you that's not my intent, these are only opinions and are open to disscussion and are in no way a reflection on a person or nation as a person, ie it is not having a go at the people themselves for all those wankers out there who take life too seriously.

I'm australian sso Aussies have no accent, though I am told by foreigners, we have sexy accents but I'm not one to judge. Sorry to any yanks out there but I hate your accents, they suck, theyre too bloody annoying, canadians, I'm not really sure, I haven't heard a real lot so I'm unable to make a real comment. Poms, good accents if you want to sound rich or posh, but not much other use!!

Germans, too harsh a language to stand a chance, they sound aragant (again this is no reflection on the people just their toungues). French people, well well well, I must say, I have a soft spot for french accents but doesn't everyone, there so suductive, mmmmmmmm. They have a way with words that makes it sound so, ........ I don't know just nice.

Belgium people, they sound like french but with a bit of throat gurgling every now and then, quite comical good for a laugh. Chinese and Japanese, I put these together, not being rude but because I find them very similar, It's a totally different way of talking, quite unique, not a favourite but not something that I find annoying.

Turkish people (I only put this in there cause I've been here aswell) they always sound like they're arguing, it's very interesting to listen to though frigtening at times cause, yes it looks like they're about to snot each other.

Italian, they sound like they know a lot about food, probably causse they do, I like it, kinda mysterious.

Irish, they are the coolest accents for guy's, sory but girls sound odd talking like a paddy! But when a seamus cracks out the words it's like, he's me mate lets go down to the pud for a guiness, they have one of the coolest accents around.

South Africans, odd, I only know these from the cricket so If Shaun Pollock is normal it's just.........odd, and very hard to imitate.

New Zealand, tsk tsk, Josh sorry, with all their vowels i, i, i, i, i. they sound slightly funny. It reminds me of a joke- what's a hindu?
Lays eggs.

Tunisia, I only found this in the atlas, it's in the north of africa. At a guess, I think their accents rock, I want to go there one day. I think Fred Hollows went there once o that'd be cool. He was a champion, but that can be for another up-date.

I've saved the best for last, the swiss, they have the very best accents in the world. It is so sexy, yet so understanding. It in no way sounds false or harsh, just dances from their mouths to play into your ears like a favourite song. I have utter admiiration for the swiss based on this and I'm going to visit there one day. To all thee swiss people out there, you have the coolest accent. Pluss toblerone is heaps nice.

Anyway, theres alot of other countries out there but I can't fit everyone in, if you want to know what Ii think about you just tell me, I'm sorry if your not in here but I'm keen to hear everybody elses views on accents please comment and tell me exactly what everyone thinks.

Yours truley, Tosswinkle
